Large Ovarian Cysts and Missed PregnancyFrom: Lisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 27 Jan 2001 11:34:41 -0600 (CST)
For a couple of weeks now I have been having cramps. I missed my period and decided to get it checked out. The hopital said i was pregnant, they did the sonogram and saw nothing so they did the vaginal test, it showed large cysts in my ovaries on both sides and a very tiny sac in my uterus. This was a problem b/c according to my blood harmone level, i should be far along to view and hear the baby. They decided to monitor my blood works. They said if i was pregnant that my blood harmone level would double in two days, if it didn't double then it meant that the pregnancy was not in the uterus or it was a missed pregnancy that my body absorbed but the fluid remained in the uterus. Two days later my blood harmone level did not double and they ruled out ectopic. I was told that it was a missed pregnancy and i will have to pass the fluid from the uterus before the cysts will disappear. I have an appointment to go back in two weeks. My question is that i have not had severe cramps since then, i am still experiencing pain but it is mild, however i feel nauseated throughout the day and i am constantly spitting or vomiting. Is that normal for my condition?
