Should a doctor do a colposcopy with out doing a pap smear first?

Can any tell me what is a colposcope? what does it look like ...

The reason i am asking these questions it that I recently whent to the doctor because i was on the pill and i forgot to take them so when my period was late i wanted to verfiy i was pregnant so that i could make a quick decision. the doc did a vaginal sonogram and told me that i was 7 weeks I told him i was going to terminate and i wanted RU486 he convience me not to take it in stead to get get it surgically. After carful thinking i went and got the RU486 without consulting him. Afew weeks later i got a bill from the insurance company for 2100 for radiology services , Surgery and lad fees. I call the insurance company and they told me the bill was for 2) vaginal trans echography (diff angle) urine analysis papsmear Coloposcopy vaginal oscopie (surgery) I call the doctor up and i question him on the bill and about the services he is billing for he told me that he found a wart he wants me to come in so that he can take a biopscy because in needs to know if it is infected with hpv. I look up HPV and warts and i have no symtoms my husband of 13 years have no warts (I check his parts) and i am going nuts. Can someone tell me what my nest step should be. I visited a new doctor but he cant do a papsmare as yet because i am still going through the effects of Ru486.
