hernia vs gartner duct cyst?

During the pushing stage of delivering my son in Sept of 99 I developed what i would call a hernia in my left vaginal wall. My OB originally thought it to be my bladder but after an IVP, cystoscopy, and another test theurologist ruled out any urinary tract origin. At that time the urologist drained the "bulge". Within a couple of weeks ithad returned. It occasionally protrudes from the vaginal opening if I am carring something heavy or walking a lot. If this is a garnter Cyst wouldnt it have been there long ago instead of literally popping up while I was pushing my son out?and is it normal for them to fill back up afterthey have been drained? Anything like this scaresme to death because my grandmother died from ovarian CA.Thanks for all the help. BTW the bulge is 3-4 cm, soft, smooth, nontender.
