Progesterone Levels & PregnancyFrom: Jeana (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 2 Jan 2001 10:41:23 -0600 (CST)
I took Clomid 100 mg day 5 - 9 of my cycle, then started taking 200mg of Oral Micronized Progesterone two days after my positive LH surge. I then had my progesterone blood levels taken 8 days after that positive LH surge (day 22). My results came back 55. My doctor's nurse was very encouraged and indicated this may be a sign of pregnancy. (My levels last month on 50 mg of Clomid w/out progesterone on day 22 was just 6.1). After getting my high progesterone results, I also experienced most symptoms of early pregnancy. However, I started my period & even took a blood pregnancy test & the results were negative. Why was my progesterone level so incredibly high? And considering I'm on the same regimen this month (100 mg of Clomid & the progesterone two days after a positive LH surge) will I be able to tell if I'm possibly pregnant by my blood progesterone test and if so, what levels should I expect, considering the regimen I'm on? Thank you for your input...I really appreciate it. Jeana
