Douching is not recommended, esp. if there is a vaginal infection as
the bacteria could be washed into the upper tract. Treatments rarely
should last as long as you have said. You may do better getting off
antibiotics all together for a few weeks and see if you feel better. If
you are having a latex reaction, the other types of condoms may help.
