My mother had the same surgery as you had and she had the same problem with her bladder. She was very depressed as well. I can imagine that it is very discouraging. She too wanted it undone. She had to self-catherize for some time (I forget how long--maybe a month?) but in the end, swelling and irritaion of the bladder and other tissue went down and today she is doing great and is so thrilled to have had the surgery. Please talk to your doctor and tell him/her about your worries. And please give it some time--as I learned from my mother's surgery --bladders seem to be testy objects--it may resolve itself. Good luck--just wanted to give you the perspective from my mother who had the same post-op trouble.
