There are different options here - one would be to increase the dosage
of the supositories or to do it a few times a day. Another possibility
is Prometrium (oral natural mironized progesterone). A third option is
Crinone 8% which may be better absorbed than the suppositories. In our
region, injectible progesterone has not been available for a while, even
for the infertility specialists.
If you look through our archives, you will also see that there is
disagreement as to whether or not to even treat a "low" progesterone
level. There is some evidence that it may do nothing at all and may not
be needed.
