ovulation with one ovaryFrom: Carla (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 30 Dec 2000 17:56:45 -0600 (CST)
I have read a posted message in which a woman questions effects on fertility after having an ovary removed. I too have had an ovary removed, at the age of 15, after my right ovary ruptured due to a large cyst. I am now 30 and have been trying to conceive for 1 year. Would the presence of one remaining healthy ovary also mean that an egg is available/ovulation occurs on a monthly basis? Thank you for your help.
