Hello everyone! I'm new here, and just happened across your page today while searching for information. I have been diagnosed with many disorders: endometriosis, adenomyosis, vulvar vestibulitis/ vulvodynia, ibs, and now pelvic congestion. My pc is one of the worst seen to date apparently, and I have pools of blood throughout my pelvis. I have tried lupron, CBCP's etc. and am now going to a pain clinic and am trying biofeedback. The reason I am writing though is because I am to go in for surgery next month at John's Hopkins for my pelvic congestion. This surgery is called an Embolization of Ovarian Varicoceles, and will require an undetermined amount of time in the hospital. It entails placing metal coils into my veins, then a few weeks after burning the remaining veins with chemicals to stop the flow of blood into them. I have found very little information on htis surgery, and what I have found is frightening...there is a possibility of nerve damage to the legs requiring the patient to be put in a wheel chair. Do any of you know where I can find some information or have any of you had this done? I'm only 25 and am terrified about this. Any advice is helpful and appreciated. Hugs, Katie
