Question regarding vaginal changes during menstrual cycleFrom: Roklyn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 26 Dec 2000 21:18:37 -0600 (CST)
This is probably a strange question, but I'm unable to locate any information online. My husband has recently accused me of having an extra-marital affair because of the "changes" he feels during intercourse with me from time to time. Since I know I'm not having an affair, he's wrong on that count, but I have no idea what he means by "changes." He describes it as my being "looser" and "less lubricated" and "not contracting as much." I'm inclined to believe these are changes that have to do with my menstrual cycle, and will likely ask him to help me track this, but for the sake of my marriage, I'd be much obliged to know a little =quicker= what the heck he is talking about? I know about all the changes at the cervix and above (I have a child and got the full drill years ago). Is there a series of vaginal changes during menstruation as well? I can't find a single piece of information anywhere on this! Sorry to be asking here, but my OB/GYN is a family friend, so discussing this with him at this stage is a little disconcerting. I appreciate any response you can give me on what it is, or where I can find out about it.
