I had a hysterectomy 11 days ago for what my Gyna thought was end-stage endometriosis.Pre-op tests indicated possible large endometriomas, cystic structures on the left ovary and tube, adhesions throughout my pelvic cavityand a twisted prolapsed sigmoid colon.3 days after my complete hysterectomy I was discharged home.Christmas Eve i went back to the hospital ER with svere left lower abdominal pain, fever 101.The pain was acommpanied by terrible pressure on my rectum. My Dr.admitted me back in to the hospital,CT Scan showed areas of collections in my lower pelvic region,my Dr. told me they could be blood filled or fluid filled sacs, that may be abcesses.I recived 24 hours of Iv antibiotics and was sent home, afebrile with contuining left pelvic pain.I am currently taking demerol for fair pain control. To follow up This Thursday for follow-up CT scan and bloodwork. My question is this common or is there a underlying problem my Gyna is missing?
