Hi Rita,

Yes it is possible that this heavy bleeding that you are having could be related to the uterine polyps. I myself had a polyp removed from me last year and when I was going to have surgery done for treating endometriosis my dr also scheduled a hysteroscopy and D&C to be done during that same time.

Also I've read that sometimes the periods can be affected by a thyroid condition. I also want to wish you the best on your hysteroscopy and D&C and if you have any questions that you would like to ask about my experience please feel free to e-mail me directly and I will be glad to help you out.
