Hi Rita, Yes it is possible that this heavy bleeding that you are having could be related to the uterine polyps. I myself had a polyp removed from me last year and when I was going to have surgery done for treating endometriosis my dr also scheduled a hysteroscopy and D&C to be done during that same time. Also I've read that sometimes the periods can be affected by a thyroid condition.
