Well, its the 8th day of my period and I'm still going. I've been having periods about 7 days with the last 2 or 3 days very light (with some very heavy days in the middle with a lot of clots). I've been diagnosed with uterine polyps and have been scheduled for a hysteroscopy and d&c on 1/12 but now my periods are coming every 23 days and this is my 8th day and I'm still going strong. Could this related or is it most likely something additional? Or what are the possibilites? I am hypothyroid and am on synthroid but I checked out ok in Nov. I am 47 and show no sign of menapause so far. I am not asking for a diagnosis, just possibilities to consider. I will ask my gyn when I see him for a pre-op visit but just wondering in the meantime.
