However, knowing reality, if there is no way to encourage compliance with the pill, then depo is certainly an option. The problem with depo is that there is a significant problem with irregular and unpredictbale bleeding. This leads to discontinuation of this method. It is certainly a better option than pregnancy. If you are "allowing" your 16 year old to take the pill, then you are essentially giving her license to be sexually active. If she is not responsible enough to take the pill, then she has shown that she is obviously not worthy of that responsibility. That puts it back on you. If you are going to condone the use of the pill and indirectly, sexual activity, then you need to take the responsibility to stand at the door each morning with the pill and a glass of water in your hand. If you don't, who is gonna change the diapers??? Lynn
