I have 5 active pills left and 7 inactive. I usually start my period on day 2 or 3 of the inactive pills, but started this morning. I guess it could be breakthrough bleeding, but I don't know how to tell the difference. I haven't missed any pills, but have taken a couple later than usual. I have been under extreme stress the past week and also have had a nasty sore throat and head cold. I've been taking cold medicine like crazy. What I'm wondering is if the stress I've been under or my cold could have brought my period on early even though I'm on the pill. I know when not taking the pill that many things can mess up a cycle. Any help would be appreciated.
