Fruity-smelling discharge

Hi,

I've had a pretty much constant vaginal discharge (white, sort of creamy or mucus-y, occasionally with a musty smell) since puberty, and I've always thought this was normal. However, about a year ago, around the first time I had sex and also the first time I got a yeast infection, the texture didn't change, but it started to smell a lot stronger and sort of fruity. My first thought was that it smelled like apples... but also kind of musky.

I've had a couple of yeast infections since then because of antibiotics, but they clear up with monistat or whatever. Anyway, does anyone know what this smell could be, if I should be concerned about it, and how I can make it go away? I mean, if I can smell it I know that everyone else can.

Thanks.

Jeannette
