suprapubic/lower abdominal painFrom: nick (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 17 Dec 2000 21:13:34 -0600 (CST)
Hey guys. My name is Nick and my wife came to me with some pressing news. She states that it's been two months since her last menstrual flow and that she's been having intermittent bouts of suprapubic vs. lower abdominal pain off-and-on for the last four or five days. My wife discribes the pain as a "pressure" that is slightly relieved with standing up. Consequently, she states that the pressure increases in severity when she lies supine. My wife states that the pain/pressure gets sharp occassionally and radiates to her back, mostly on the left of her suprapubic/lower abdominal region. She states that the pain/pressure feels slightly worse with palpation of the suprapubic/lower abdominal region just lateral to the midline. My wife states no fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, painful urination or discharge of any sort from her vaginal area. She denies pain with intercourse. Any comments or questions as to what this could be? I know she needs to be evaluated by an ob/gyn asap. r/o: ovarian cyst, tubal/ectopic pregnancy, pid? I don't know. Please help. Thank you.
