A ? about vaginal biopsyFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 16 Dec 2000 22:07:39 -0800 (PST)
Good evening everyone, I have a question for you. Before I ask it however I wanted to ask you how you were doing. As for me, I'm so-so. For the last month I've been having some problems in my vaginal area that could be caused by a number of things. I have mentioned this problem to my dr. I mentioned it the first time back in Nov, and then I didn't have problems anymore for a while and now it's bothering me again so I let my dr's assistant know about the problem. She then talked to my dr about it, and her recommendation is vaginal biopsy (which I was hoping for, and my mother was wondering when my dr would do it) so now I am waiting for the ins co to approve the procedure as soon as the girl who takes care of the ins tells them what my dr is needing to do. I'm not sure when I will have a date but I hope to find that out maybe on Wed. So my question is this. Would you please describe what goes on when a biopsy of the vaginal area is done, what I need to do to prepare for it, and what I might expect after the procedure in the way of pain, etc? I've done some reading and it has helped some but the more info that I can have the better so that I will be well prepared when I do have it. Thanks and I hope that you are staying warm. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Falls/4659/kristyspage.html Yahoo! Shopping - Thousands of Stores. Millions of Products.
