A dermoid cyst is a cyst that grows within the ovary and contains various things such as bone, hair, glandular tissue and even occasionally teeth. It originates in the ovary and is one of the most common cysts seen in women. There is a very low malignancy potential. The problem is that they will not go away on their own and will usually continue to grow, necessitating surgical removal... Lynn
