Personally, I do not feel that it would be appropriate to ask the doc, and especially the staff, about the complaints. One, as they were dismissed, it usually means they were unfounded or unjustified complaints. Two, it is inappropriate and unprofessional for a doc to discuss any cases with a patient. Three, think of how this will make the doc feel and how this will determine the start of a doctor patient relationship. Finally, most ob/gyn docs have been sued in their careers because of the nature of the practice - everyone wants a healthy baby, but not everyone can have one.
