Negative Pregnancy Test

My period has been regular my entire life (27-28 days like clockwork). I am 33 years old with a healthy 2 year old daughter. 3 months ago I had a LEEP procedure and the follow up pap came back with a clean bill of health. However, ever since getting the LEEP my periods have been out of whack - one month I got my period twice and the others have been irregular (one was 26 days the other was 29 days). This past month my husband and I started trying to get pregnant based on a 29 day cycle since that was the last period. About 5 days ago I started showing symptoms similar to my first pregnancy (sore breast, tingling nipples and darkening, metal taste in mouth, increased saliva, etc). Yesterday my period was at 30 days and I decided to wait another day before doing a pregnancy test. This morning (not first urination) I took the test and it came back negative. I immediately called my doctor to see what could be the reason and I went in to have a blood test earlier today. Now I have no period and negative pregnancy test - this is leaving me very upset. Not so much that i'm not pregnant cause it was only the first month of trying but I'm freaked out why I haven't gotten my period. What can be some of the causes of this? Can this have anything to do with the LEEP procedure? Also, if i'm not pregnant how do i determine when I ovulate if there is no consistency with my cycle? Please help!
