For a doc I was considering, there are 2 dismissed complaints from the past 5 years, and one pending complaint. Is it reasonable and appropriate for me to ask the doctor (or his staff) about the nature of these complaints? What is the best way to pose the question without causing offense? This person was recommended by a current practitioner.
