radical hysterectomyFrom: mamoo (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 10 Dec 2000 15:09:24 -0600 (CST)
I am doing research on hysterectomy and most specifically abdominal adhesions. I had ecoptic preg. 13 years ago with a bad infection to follow. I am 41 and have severe pelvic pain for over the past year and ovarian cysts. My doctor did same day surgery where they put the camera in and look around-laproscopy i beleive it is called. anyway, from that point on he told me i would have to have everything taken through the abdomen. i went in last wednesday for surgery and when i woke up found out that they cut me open but didn't do anything because all of my organs were "stuck together like glue" and are now sending me to a specialist in case of bowel or intestinal complications. I am very upset and concerned and would like more information and light shed on this. please if anyone could steer me in the right direction i would be grateful. thanks
