Hypothyroidism - tsh level

hi I am a 27 year old woman, 5/6" and 130 lbs, and just found out I have hypothyroidism. I am told my tsh level is 7.11 and believe I have read that normal is considered .3 - 5.5 or something like that. Is 7.11 really bad or is it "borderline"? Will medication make a huge difference in how I feel? I don't think I am especially tired or suffering greatly from any symptoms. Please advise, I appreciate your help. Thanks!
