I hope this didn't go through twice:

I just heard on the news that the FDA is going to approve the Mirena coil. A few of my friends in Europe are very happy with this thing, and I might consider it. Will any gynecologist be able to place this thing? What is involved - hospital visit, outpatient, local anesthesia? Is there really no risk for women without previous pregnancies?
