Problem gone?????From: Shannon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 5 Dec 2000 11:16:53 -0600 (CST)
Well, I have been suffering from a problem for the past 6 months. Last June I started to get severe clitoral pain prior to my period ... and the pain would go away after my period was finished. I've had several pap tests over this time ... and all the tests have come back negative. At the last pap test (1 month ago) my doctor suggested I do a yeast infection treatment (although she has never told me if I truely have a yeasty infection). Anyway ... I did a treatment ... and I also started having Tea Tree oil baths. Well - the pain is gone!!!! I just had my period last week with no problems!!! This of course makes me very happy - but I also don't think what was going on was a yeast infection? I've had them before and this didn't feel like it at all. I have been refered to a gyn and my appointment is in January. My question is ... if this pain doesn't come back ... how will the gyn be able to tell what was wrong with me. I've also been continuing with the Tea Tree baths (They're quite refreshing!!!) should I stop ... and see if the symptoms come back!! I'm glad the pain is gone ... but I'm worried that I may have just hidden the true problem. (Sounds silly huh?) Any advise would be greatly appreciated!! Shannon
