Hi,

I had my first gyno exam and pap smear in July. I am 29 years old, but never went because I am not sexually active. I worried a lot about it beforehand. I told the doctor that it was my first exam. The doctor was very understanding. She told me everything before she did it. The only thing that I can think of that you can do is to relax as much as possible. Being tensed up only makes it harder. Talking to your doctor beforehand can help you to relax. I can tell you (from someone who knows) that it is not as bad as you probably think it will be. Good luck!
