Abnormal Pelvic UltrasoundFrom: RitaB (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 3 Dec 2000 16:19:19 -0600 (CST)
Because of abnormal vaginal and bladder pressure I was referred to an urologist who ordered a pelvic ultrasound. Nothing urological abnormalities, but it did show "Suspected retorversion configuration utersu" (which I knew I had a tilted uterus and "hetergeneous echo pattern throughout a prominent endometrium associated with nodularity which may represent polyp formation or hematomas. Futhre gyn evaluation is advised." What does this mean? and how urgent is this? I am a 47 yr old female with usually heavy regular menstrual periods and have been complaining with leaking bladder and vaginal pressure. My regular dr is out of the country is out of the country until the 11th of Dec and I am extremely curious about the meaning and the urgency of the findings. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
-- RitaB
