? about vaginal tearing-drs only pleaseFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 1 Dec 2000 19:02:31 -0800 (PST)
Hi to everyone!! I know that it's been a while since I've posted but that's b/c I've been in the lurk mode for some time as well as not feeling well physically for some time especially this last week. The reason is b/c I've been in the middle of a major flare up when it comes to my vulvar problems. I've got a situation that I'm going to discuss with my dr again on the 8th but while I wait for that appt I thought that I would post it here so that I would have some kind of an idea what I need to ask my dr when I see her at that time. Here's my situation: Three Sundays ago I had bent over to dry the tips of my hair and when I started to straighten myself out I felt a pulling on and in my vagina. It hurt for several hours afterward, but then by about 5 p.m. that afternoon the pain had dwindled down a bunch with the help of the pain med that I take for the most severe pain: Lorcet. When I posted this story to one of the endo e-mail lists that I belong to one of the girls there said that I could have dislodged an adhesion that's around that area (yes adhesions was one possibility I had thought about as I have endometriosis) or I could have torn it. I ran this by a friend of mine earlier tonight, and she said yes it is possible that I could have torn my vagina and not even know it. While that might be very possible my feeling is that if I would have torn my vagina I would have felt it. So my question is this: If my vagina were torn would I be able to feel it, and if so what might it feel like? B/c I have the endomeetriosis and adhesions is it possible that the endo if it's in the vagina could make me feel that pulling as if the vagina had torn? How often is vaginal endo seen? I did get the same pulling feeling the other day though not as bad as the first time, and then at the time that I felt this pulling I felt my uterus hurt a little so I'm not sure if my sleeping pattern at that particular time might have had something to do with it b/c at the time that I felt all of this again the other day I was sleeping on my right side. I will let you all know how my visit to the dr goes. Thanks so much to all of you for taking time from your busy schedules to help us with the many questions that come thru on a daily basis. (Drs. Shanahan and Hill, how are Hunter and Alex?) Take care. ===== Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Falls/4659/kristyspage.html Yahoo! Shopping - Thousands of Stores. Millions of Products.
