The pains aren't shooting down my right leg though so that is a plus. Over the last couple of years my periods were running every 21-23 days now this one came at 30 days, does this mean that they are starting to straighten out on their own? Or is this just the beginning? The periods have been like this since my son was born 6 years ago. A couple of months I bled all month long. Luckily there were regular periods in between those. Severe cramps, heavy bleeds, once very regular periods now irregular. Pelvic/hip pain, and ultrasound showed enlarged uterus with fibroids, measuring 10.6 x 4.9 x 5.9 cm in ultrasound taken a month ago. My question is this, my doctor sent me to an orthopedic surgeon because of the pelvic/hip pain. Orthopedic said it is not a bone problem. More likely a uterus problem. OB/gyn said it was a bone problem, not a uterine problem. Orthopedic sent request to my regular doc to order an MRI of my pelvis and lower back and uterine area. Will this MRI show if my uterus has grown larger? Will it give a better detail of how many fibroids there are? Will it show anything else? I am not pregnant, have had 3 kids, 1 vaginally and 2 by c-section, with severe adhesion after last pregnancy. Fallopian tubes adhered on both sides had to be surgically released.. Please advise. thanks
