Lets start with saying that I'm 20, married, and have a 10 month old son. After I had my son I was put on the mini pill and than on ortho tri- cyclen. During the first pack of ortho tri-cyclen I started bleeding about half way through the pack and it went on for two weeks, so I went to the doctor. He checked my thyroid level and it was low or how he put it, it wasn't working. So he put me on a low dose of meds (I forgot the name) for my thyroid problem and he also put me on different BC pills, orthocept. A month later I went in for some more blood work on my thyroids and they were fine. During the first pack of orthocept I had a great deal of pain in my abdomen but my period started when it should have (the last week of pack 1) but two weeks later it started again and went on for another two weeks, so I stopped taking the pills all together. I'm tired of bleeding all the time and so is my husband. Now I have an appointment to get a diaphragm, but for the past two weeks (about two and a half weeks after I stopped taking the BC pills) I have been having a great deal of pain in my abdomen where it would hurt to move, to sit down, when I would have a bowel movement, and it felt like I had to urinate all the time (once well urinating there was a thick clear discharge). I thought I might have a bladder infection so I started drinking a lot of cranberry juice. It feels a lot better now but there is still a mild pain in my abdomen. Is this pain normal because I stopped taking the pill? Also the last few days my breast and nipples have been sore, I've never had this as I sign that I'm about to start my period. So could I be pregnant? When I was pregnant for my son I didn't have any signs that I was except for a missed period. I'm sorry this is so long winded. Is it normal to bleed like that well on the pill? My doctor said it wasn't. A great deal of people in my family have died from ovarian and cervical cancer and I guess I'm scared that the bleeding was I sign that I might have cancer. So can someone please help me out.
