My menstrual cycles have been perfect ever since I began at the age of 14. Now, my period began with a wicked emotional burst 5 days early and has not stopped...(For over 2 weeks now...approaching 20 days.) Now, this is concerning me a great deal. I don't have cramping and by far the flow is not heavy. I would classify this as a little more than spotting with occasional, clotting. I use an IUD for birth control and it is still in place. I have recently faltered on my exercise program and possibly put on a couple of new pounds. I have a doctors appointment but, they can not see me for two weeks. I am scared. My husband is worried. What could this be? I think I would feel better if I at least had some idea what I could be facing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
