First, let me say that I am very sorry for your wife's breast cancer. With regard to the ER visit, it is impossible to comment on the care without having at least the record of care to review, and even then, it is not as good as being there for the presentation. Thus, I cannot comment on the appropriateness of that care. That said, if the ER presentation was two weeks prior to her delivery and the diagnosis was made three weeks later, one week following her delivery, and at that time, the disease was already spread to the liver, a detection at that ER visit would not have changed the prognosis.
