Susan, You do not mention how old your daughter is. In young children, one always has to consider the possibility of a foreign body. Kids will shove things into the strangest places. This can cause a discharge and vulvitis/vaginitis. If this is not possible, the other considerations are allergic reactions or primary vulvar problems-of which there are many possibilities. I would concur with the second opinion thing. If you get no satisfaction with the gynecology route, you can always consider a dermatologist... Lynn
