Montgomery, MD: "Re: Dysplasia" I just underwent a colposcory yesterday and I was alarmed at how I reacted after the procedure was complete. Three biopsy's were taken. The end portion of the procedure was extemely painful and resulted in me vomiting several times and becoming very faint and unable to get up. I have also noticed that anyone who I have talked to with dysplasia has used the birth control pill, My questions are.....A) Is this a normal reaction post-colpo B) just how serious is high grade cervial dysplasia?
