3 1/2 weeks is a bit far out for the incision to still be draining. A surgical incision is typically sealed at 18 hours following closure. Occasionally, they will seep for a few days. The swelling will take several weeks to months to completely disapate. The scar will soften over a six month period. I presume that you have a post-op check coming up in the next few weeks. I would see how things go till then and mention it to your surgeon... Lynn
