How long do scars take to heal - post-op?

I had a bladder suspension and a rectocele repair done at the beginning of November. The bladder was repaired through the abdomen via a 4 -5 inch incision along my bikini line. This scar is still sore and is not healing very well in a couple of places where it is a bit weepy. the sutures used are dissolvable. Do these take a long time to dissolve? Should the incision site have healed properly by now ( three and a half weeks) and will the swelling around the scar area settle down? should I go and see my doc or am I worrying about nothing as this is the normal healing process? Please help.
