Oh, OK so it can be hyper or hypothyroid. A lot of women seem to have hypothyroid issues. Depends on the individual I guess - there does seems to be a strong connection to menopause with some women. I would have thought that it's just an age related thing but in my case I am young for menopause at 42 and was extremely healthy before the operation. I'll get tested again then - it's like hormone testing though I guess - if it's not absolutely conclusive (post menopausal) then, or borderline then it's a case of having to yet again get across just how bad this is and argue my point.
