I wish that I could just get my doctor to make the recommendation to another ob/gyn. I told him I wanted to see another one but he said that he had to wait on the report from the, for lack of another word at this point, IDIOT! Since I moved to California 2 years ago, I have had nothing but trouble with my doctors listening to what I want done. The first one basically told me that he was not going to send me for a mammogram (I was 35 at the time) because he didn't feel any lumps. I demanded one and the result was a lump found in my left breast the size of a quarter!! Lucky for him it was benign. I changed after that incident. This doctor listens to me but sometimes I feel that he is too cautious, which can be a good thing, but in my case it is making me CRAZY. I would really like to have all of this taken care of during my kids' holiday break (they get 3 weeks off) so I won't have to take them back and forth to school. And my husband would be able to take time off to be home with me also. I have asked some friends with some of the same problems and one of them is surgery scared but knows that her ob/gyn would do the surgery but doesn't know if he can do the laproscopic one that I would prefer to have done. That is the problem now, finding one that specializes in LSH. Any suggestions? I live in the high desert of southern California.
Thank you for your assistance.
