Hi! I had a tubal in 1997, it was no problem. Went to hospital at 6 AM, surgery at 8:30, and by 10 AM I was woofing Dunkin Doughnuts down and calling coworkers on the cell phone (now mind you I was not driving and had some Demerol before leaving hospital!) Went home, laid on sofa and read for most of next day, and other than some slight pain, was fine. If You most likely will be ready for work on Weds. Listen to your body though! PS.. because of the laprascope being used nowadays, alot of gas is put into the abdomen, this makes it easier for the docs to see tubes. This gas is mostly removed before surgery is over. However the remaining is absorbed by body after a few days. I found that warm liquids help, as did lying flat for shoulder pain. The shoulder pain came from the gas up under the diaphram. BUT....bottom line, no biggie :)
