Definetly hang in there and get a 2nd opinion, or 3rd or 4th. I have something like a uterus didelphus (split uterus with 2 cervix) which has confused many an OBGYN and in turn they treat me like a guinea pig. At 17 (now 25) I started looking for an OBGYN who could explain the condition and its implications (they all looked at me and thought "blonde teenage bimbo" and assumed I was just worried about BC)...I just found him 2 weeks ago. In the meantime I saw moron after moron. Along the way I even lost an ovary and a fallopian tube to an ectopic pregnancy. The doctor let me bleed for 2 months saying the preg might "take care of itself". When I complained of severe pain she gave me pain killers which masked the fact that I was hemmohraging (sp) and I nearly bled to death. The doctor was too passive and so was I. Keep searching until you find the doctor you need and deserve. There ARE fantastic ones out there! Claudia is right, tooth and nail is worth it for someone you trust.

Good luck, I know you'll find him/her.

Keep us posted!

>>> Thanks I needed that. I talked to my doctor's office and I see him tomorrow at 10 am California time. I have a whole list of crap to tell him. Before I called the doctor's office, my husband called the insurance company about a referral to Loma Linda University OB/GYN department to see one of the ob/gyns there. They said to talk to my doctor and get a referral there. Like I said I see him tomorrow. Even if I have to go by myself, since my husband is working out of town. Will let you know what the doctor says tomorrow.

He basically told me that the pain that I have been experiencing in my right hip (for 12 years) is basically a pinched nerve and not because of something wrong with my uterus! He made me feel like he thought the pains were all in my head. He didn't even look at the ultrasound film!!!! I looked at it and they have marked where the fibroids are! I can tell that, there are four different areas that are marked. So I am going to call my regular doctor when his office opens back up after lunch and demand a second opinion. I have already spoken with the insurance company. I am so fed up with feeling like sh**. I can't take my 6 year old son to the park to play, it hurts. I can't take my daughters shopping for very long, it hurts. My husband doesn't even know this next part, but it even hurts after fooling around. I have never told him that part, it would just make him feel bad. I have had it to the point that I want to
