Thanks. > >-- >Stephanie > Stephanie, Well, the pain could be from two sources. First, when the ovary has a larger cyst on it, it can be prone to "torsion" or twisting. This means that it flips over and has trouble flipping back because it is weighted by the cyst. A torsion or intermitant torsion can be painful. The other source is that the pain is muscular and not related to the ovary at all. I usually caution patients with enlarged ovaries to avoid any vigorous activity that could result in an ovarian torsion... Lynn
