I am 40 years old and the doctor wants me to go on the pill. I have a cigarette every now and then. Maybe 5 a month. If I start the pill I won't have any at all but I was wondering how long should you have quit before you start the pill? Does it matter if you were a smoking and aren't now? Never a heavy smoker. Thanks Pat
