Amy, I would demand a second ultrasound and make sure that this one is an internal ultrasound. When I was first diagnosed as pregnant with my son, now 6, the doctor I had at the time was a JERK, I really don't think he believed I was pregnant in the first place. Anyway, he ordered a ultrasound to get a due date and had me drink a ton of water, to the point that I had to pee so bad it hurt. I got to the hospital for the ultrasound and was promptly asked when my LMP was and I told them. The tech let me go pee!!! Said an external ultrasound was not going to work at such an early gestational age. I had the internal, which I admit was weird, and they found the heartbeat with no problem, and let me watch. So, just try to calm down, you aren't doing yourself or that baby any good. I know that is easy to say, but it is true. If you don't feel comfortable with your doctor, like I didn't, change. I got home after an appointment crying and my husband called the insurance company to see if the ob/gyn that had delivered our 10 year old daugher was on our insurance and HE WAS!!! He saw me the next week. My first doctor hadn't done any of the normal blood workups, told me my due date, or anything. In fact he had never even examined me!!! Except for when he did my yearly exam a month before I found out I was pregnant. So hang in there, and you will be in my prayers.
