premenopause

well, I'm 39 and became fed up with my inability to connect with gynos (I live in a remote area) what I'm experiencing is the lightest period imaginable, every 28 days. Is this just a normal variation in a pre-menopausal woman or should I begin considering HRT? I've had my hormone levels tested (a little less than 2 years ago) and while I'm still ovulating my progesterone level is lower than normal. I've used the natural progesterone creams and don't notice much if any difference. Everything I read about early menopause talks about heavy periods, but mine is itty-bitty, less than a day, no flow to speak of. I hope someone can give me some insight... Thank you.
