Daniel Braun, MD: "Re: ovarian cyst fibroid" I am 40 years old and just found out I have a cyst on my left ovary and a fibriod on the outside wall by my bladder. I have very frequent bladder infections too. The doctor wants me to start going on the pill.My question is How can they tell for sure it's an ovarian cyst and not cancer of my ovaries. I had a transvaginal sonogram but no blood tests. I have quite abit of pain all the time and especially the week before I get my period.Which is the best pill to go on for ovary cyst? At my age should I just go and have a hyterectomy? I don't know what to do but I don't like the idea of sitting around with these two things in my body and waiting for cancer .
