Tammy, Following a tubal ligation, if pregnancy occurs, there is very high possibility of the pregnancy occuring outside of the uterus, most commonly the tube. The bleeding comes from the uterus, which is being stimulated by the "pregnancy hormones" even though the pregnancy is not there-the uterus doesn't know that. If one suspects pregnancy following a tubal ligation, it is imperative to seek medical attention immediately because an ectopic pregnancy can be life-threatening... Lynn
