Re: major fatigue and an enlarged uterus

Tina - you sound really worried! I, too, was just last month found to have an enlarged uterus (11.7 x 5.9 x 7.2 cm) on ultrasound. I had the ultrasound because of perimenopausal heavy and prolonged bleeding which has since stopped with hormone therapy. I think I drove my poor physician husband absolutely nuts perseverating on the meaning of this enlarged uterus finding, trying to get him to explain it,worrying about whether I should have a hysterectomy etc, etc, etc. To make a long story short, yeah, I have a day or two of premenstrual cramping and then a couple of days of cramps, but with adequate amounts of motrin, its livable. The hormones seem to have taken care of the bleeding, for now, at least and since I've been off the progesterone, I feel normal and the enlarged uterus is another incidental finding like the bone spur in my big toe. For fatigue, since my hematocrit, hemoglobin and TSH are normal - I walk a couple miles a day and it works wonders! My gyn found no reason to be concerned and sent me on my way for another year. Hope this helps. At Mon, 6 Nov 2000, Tina wrote: >
