mid-cylce bleedingFrom: Angie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 3 Nov 2000 18:04:23 -0600 (CST)
I am 31 yrs old and have noticed in the last year my periods have become shorter in duration and lighter, however my premenstrual symptoms have changed. Breasts are tender and swollen 7 to 10 days before I start and ocassionally I have a sharp, knife-like pain, am very moody but very little cramping. This last month my period came unexpectedly by spotting one day then two days later starting an actual period, which lasted apprx. four days. Now, two weeks later I am spotting brownish-red, and even had enough on a tampon. No other symptoms except some sensations in my lower abdominal area (light cramping). I do exercise intensely and eat moderately. I am wondering also if a change in hormone levels could cause this, or something else? (I also tend to have a low sex drive and lately am experiencing some financial stress)
