Sam, Cervicitis or cervical inflammation are terms used to describe a non-specific reddened, fragile cervical opening. It is not the same as cervical dysplasia. The cervicitis can be "just there" or caused by a variety of things-most not bad. The course of action when this is present is to either wait a few months a repeat or treat with a vaginal cream and repeat... Lynn
